Weight Watchers Points for First Watch. Just had brunch at the restaurant called First Watch Daytime Café with my little sis [in my head], Crystal. She does exist; she’s not a figment of my imagination or anything. It’s just that I think of her as a little sister. #WeightWatchers is not an issue for her.
Probably important I clarify that huh?
I had one of those crazy over 40 weight loss moments there.
Here’s what happened. I get to the restaurant, begin chatting and before I knew it, I discovered I had not prepared! I always know what I’m going to order before I go somewhere. This blog helps!
Anyhoo, I had absolutely no clue what I was going to eat and it drove me crazy!
The server asked, “Do you need a few minutes?”
I was all flustered and blathered a confused, deer in the headlights shamefaced “Un-huh”.
As you know, when you’re trying to lose weight, it’s never a good idea to go to a restaurant unprepared. At least it’s not for me. You’ve got to have a plan.
When I do, I often end up either ordering whatever my lunch companion orders or some terrible, impulsive carb-loaded option. The end result is regret- pitiful regret.
Have you noticed in moments like those it takes a minute to even interpret the menu? It looks like Greek! The fancy names, pretty colors, and such always throw me off.
“Are you ready?” he asked.
Seems he came out of nowhere. Without even making eye contact, I sent him away gently. Heck, I was still trying to interpret the fancy, marketing verbiage to see what each item really was.
Was it covered in sauce?
Does it have sugar?
Is it a grain?
Ugh. I wanted my mommy or at least my Weight Watchers virtual coach, Jackie!
Weight Watchers Points for First Watch Daytime Cafe Click To TweetNevertheless, after he asked me a total of 2 different times I was ready.
“I’ll have egg white, fruit, and turkey sausage.”
I said it fast – in one single breath – like Ralphie in the movie “The Christmas Story”.
Remember, when he had to talk with Santa and settling for a football?
When he came to himself, he rattled “a Red Ryder Carbine Action 200-shot Range Model Air rifle” as his Christmas day request.
I think he said it in one breath sort of like I delivered my brunch order.
Anyway…that’s what I did. It was my in the moment choice. I wish I had prepared earlier. I could have had something so much better.
That’s when I decided on this post for Weight Watchers Points for First Watch. I need to be ready the next time I head to First Watch for breakfast! You do too, so rest assured. I’ve got your back!

This over-40 weight loss journey is going well. I’m enjoying all my favorites places and staying on plan. I’m digging: Houlihan’s, Olive Garden, Chili’s, Starbucks and more.
Check out my first before/after pic. This is after a few weeks really working the plan. I hope to see more changes soon. In the meantime, let me know how your journey is going and if these lists help you.
